  • The message cost of Business Initiated or User Initiated conversation will be determined based on the country of the concerned WhatsApp Message number and is written on the rate card present here 
  • The Message sent via Business triggers a Business Initiated Conversation, and that will be charged based on the rate card provided by WhatsApp. After the first message is sent to the user, only when the user replies to that message, the business can send further unlimited messages. If Business wants to send a message after it has already sent a message for a single day, they must wait for the next day when the Business Initiated Window ends. 
  • If a person initiates a chat with a customer, you may continue that conversation via WhatsApp for up to 24 hours after the last message sent to you by that person without charge (“User Initiated Conversation Window”). Outside of the User Initiated Conversation Window, Customers may only send messages via approved Message Templates, for which WhatsApp will bill and charge Customer the applicable rate.
  • WhatsApp explicitly expects the Businesses to send Message only to Opt-In users, failure to do so may result in account suspension as per WhatsApp. Opt-In may be written consent, form filling from their website, etc.
  • Customers may use automation when responding during the Customer Service Window, but must also have available prompt, clear, and direct escalation paths to human agents.
  • WhatsApp may always change acceptable message types and related policies at their absolute discretion.
  • The Customer may only initiate chats only via approved Message Templates (as defined in WhatsApp documentation https://developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp/message-templates/guidelines/), subject to applicable pricing. Any Message Templates must comply with WhatsApp’s terms, and only be used for their designated purpose. WhatsApp has the right to review, approve and reject any Message Template at any time.
  • Customers acknowledge that they are responsible for the variable Message Template costs, billed by WhatsApp/Facebook.
  • WhatsApp Cloud API Conversation Charges (INDIA) (Subject to change and issued by Facebook and should be precisely checked at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp/pricing  or
